The Quest for "Perfect Skin"
In my early twenties, I had this crazy wish to have skin so perfect that I wouldn’t need to wear any foundation.
I hated wearing it, but I also hated looking at how my skin looked without it.
I daydreamed about creating the world’s lightest foundation -- one so light you can barely feel it.
I daydreamed about creating the best skin serum that would make every face flawless.
I saw myself becoming the next Estee Lauder.
All I wanted was to have radiant, glowing skin.
I was determined, at the young (and naive) age of 21, to make this happen.
But then the more research I did on creating your own skin care company and everything else that went along with it, my dreams of creating the perfect solution disappeared.
It was going to take a lot of research, a lot of time, and a lot of money.
Fast forward to age 25, when I moved out on my own.
Around this time, my whole world changed once I went for my first facial at a holistic spa in my city.
I told the esthetician that I’ve had super oily skin my entire life, with the addition to blackheads, a rosacea-filled T-zone and bumpy acne on my forehead and chin.
To my surprise, she said I had dehydrated skin.
Whaaaat?? But….my skin...it’s so oily and red and pimply! There's no way it's dehydrated!
She then replied:
Your skin is so dehydrated that it needs to produce excess oil to compensate for that. All the skincare products you’ve been using - they been stripping all the oil and moisture off your face, which is why it continues to be so oily.
I was so confused.
I’ve been buying all the products that the commercials and magazines have claimed to be the best for having flawless skin - Neutrogena, Biore, Nivea, you name it!
My skin should have been improving using these products... right?
But in reality, my skin wasn't improving at all.
And that’s when I was introduced and schooled on the not-so-wonderful world of toxic ingredients -- how they've been added in our skincare products (plus in various other products we use everyday) and how they've been ruining our skin and overall health.
From that point on, I became obsessed in figuring out a way I can have glowing my skin without consuming toxic chemicals.
What started out as a superficial goal made in vain became an unexpected wellness journey and learning experience.
Over the past six years, I've learned so much about holistic skincare and natural beauty.
I can honestly and happily say that my skin has dramatically changed for the better.
I've created this website to show you that it it's possible to have glowing skin (and radiant health)
I can't wait to share with you what I've learned and I hope it helps you get that radiant glow.
